SASOL got involved with the work that we do at the centre in 2004. They financed our fabulous Hospital block where all of our casualties are housed.
The incubator room is also where we hatch out many of the eggs that are laid by our resident birds. The eggs that go in here are normally taken from sensitive species or from young mothers that are not doing a good job with the incubation themselves. Our hospital block consists of three large heated cubicle suitable for birds up to the size of Vultures and two smaller ones also heated, these are mostly used for owls, small hawks and falcons.
