:: PHOTOGRAPHIC DAYS ::

We have decided to extend certain days to the public where they can take close up photographs of certain raptors.

During these days you will get a chance to photograph all the birds that are trained at close quarters, this would include our member of staff picking the bird up on the glove so that you can get that wonderful portrait shot at close quarters, which could be the Black Eagle, the Fish Eagle or a little Barn Owl, there are so many birds to choose from.

Would'nt it be great if you could take that perfect picture of a Bird of Prey?. Well how about considering a day with us here at The Dullstroom Bird of Prey & Rehabilitation Centre for that perfect shot. This coming summer we will be allocating three days at the centre where one of our staff members will be able to spend the whole day with you, hoping to cater for your every need.

Then there is the chance for an action shot flying the birds on the grounds at the centre could give you that once in a life time picture. Imagine a fish eagle flying over, a meter above your head.

Another opportunity would be to walk in our large aviaries with our Secretary bird or some of our large Vultures, just hang onto your sandwich boxes if you go in there.

These photo days are popular and fill up quickly and so it is best to book once you have decided to attend. We only allow ten people per day and they must be over sixteen years of age. The day will start at 7am and finish at 12am.

A Breakfast will be included in the cost for the half day photographic experience, the only information that we require from you are any unusual dietary needs in plenty of time before your visit.

Photographic Day  (7am -12am week days only   ) Cost R600.00
